Bishop McGhee announces clergy changes

Bishop Brian McGee of Argyll and the Isles today announced a number of clergy changes in the diocese, to take effect from Friday September 16.

Fr Tony Wood, current administrator of St Mary’s, Arisaig, Our Lady of the Angels, Mingarry and St Finnan’s, Glenfinnan, is to be appointed as parish priest of St Kieran’s, Campbeltown.

Fr Joe Calleja will become parish priest of St Mun’s, Dunoon, moving from his role as parish priest at Our Lady of Perpetual Succour and St Cumin, Morar.

Fr Ross Crichton moves as parish priest of St Mary’s, Benbecula to parish priest of St Michael’s, Eriskay, as well as holding responsibility for the Gaelic translation of the Roman Missal and other Sacraments.

Fr Stanislaw Pamula is to be parish priest of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour and St Cumin, Morar, St Mary’s, Arisaig and Our Lady of the Angels, Mingarry. He will move from his post at St Peter’s Daliburgh.

Fr Danny Convery will move as administrator of St Mun’s, Dunoon to be administrator of St Mary’s, Benbecula.

Fr Roddy McAuley will be the new parish priest of St Mary and St Finnan’s, Glenfinnan, and Dean of St Margaret’s Deaner, while remaining in his role of parish priest of St John’s, Caol.

Mgr. Basil Loftus will take up residence at and serve the parish of Our Lady of the Angels, Mingarry.
