Cross Wires update: Papal visit comments, the good, the bad and the ugly
Bellahouston tickets; Latin Mass elements at Papal Mass; Nick Clegg to welcome Holy Father; Archbishop Peter Smith of Southwark to meet protesters; Pope keeping faith Alive, Papal visit youth anthem chosen
In response to the suggestions that one quarter of tickets to see Pope at Bellahouston are left ‘unsold’, Peter Kearney, spokesman for the Catholic Church in Scotland, said: “The process is still ongoing and not been completed. It is not fair to say that it is done and finished.”

A hip-hop track to be the official “youth anthem” for his three day visit. Heart’s Cry is by Catholic trio Ooberfuse. The band, who all live in London, sent their track to Fr Andrew Headon, a member of the Papal Visit Organising Committee which chose the song to represent young worshippers. It will almost certainly be played to the faithful during the Pope’s prayer vigil in Hyde Park, an event which is specifically aimed at appealing to younger Catholics.
