Intruders put Livingston Catholic school in lock down
A Catholic school in West Lothian is one of four schools on lockdown after intruders were seen in their grounds.

St Margaret’s Academy, Inveralmond Community High School, The James Young High School, Livingston, and Bathgate Academy.
Police Scotland has confirmed a call was received threatening violence against an individual at St Margaret’s academy.
West Lothian Council have confirmed that phone call threats were received at the three schools this morning.
A Council spokesperson said: ‘We are aware of these incidents and are working closely with Police Scotland’.
“Enquiries are continuing to identify whoever was responsible for sending these communications. The council is working with Police Scotland during their investigation,” they said. “We are aware of misinformation and rumour in the press and online and we would like to reassure parents and pupils that all necessary and appropriate steps have been taken. There is no need to remove pupils from the school. Police Scotland is progressing with their enquires. Further updates will be provided to parents before the end of the school day.”
The Catholic Secondary school involved, St Margaret’s Academy, is based in West Lothian and it is the successor to St Mary’s Academy in Bathgate and Our Lady’s High School in Broxburn.
