15-PASSION-PLAY

Glasgow drama group prepares for the Passion

St Joseph’s Drama Group to stage I believe In Jesus Christ, Only Son of the Father this weekend

St Joseph’s Drama Group are looking forward to presenting their Passion play—I believe In Jesus Christ, Only Son of the Father—this weekend.

The group, based at the Little Sisters of the Poor House, St Joseph’s in Glasgow, will perform the play at 3pm this Saturday and Sunday at St Joseph’s Concert Hall.

The group have been inspired by Archbishop Philip Tartaglia of Glasgow’s encouragement to ‘reawaken the spirit of mission in the Church’ in this Year of Faith.

“The New Evangelisation wishes to propose the perennial message of the Church about Jesus Christ and about His Death and Resurrection,” he said. “As followers of Christ we are all called to live more profoundly and communicate more effectively this message of salvation.”

—Tickets for the Passion play cost £5 and can be reserved by telephoning: 0141 5585114 or by sending an email to: [email protected].
