Pioneer annual rally tonight in Coatbridge

Bishop Emeritus Mone, Professor Devine to address gathering

Bishop Emeritus John Mone of Paisley will lead the Pioneer Association at its annual rally in Coatbridge this evening.

In addition to the celebration of Mass, members and guests can enjoy a dinner and an address from Catholic historian Professor Tom Devine.

Professor Devine will speak on the subject Catholics in Scotland, an end to disadvantage? 1950 to the present day, in what is sure to be an insightful and thought- provoking evening.

Bishop Mone (above) will celebrate Mass at St Patrick’s Church, Coatbridge, at 7pm and all are welcome at the Mass. A limited number of tickets are still available on the night for the post-Mass dinner and talk, which cost £15.
